Bloody heads, twenty to one, phalanxes brought from the whole Of Serbia; rampant intimidation and attacks on students, journalists, opposition activists and election observers, that's the summary on election day already by noon. Then there are attempts to steal votes, suspicions of parallel lists and "Bulgarian trains", pubs and public facilities serving as SNS voter payment centers, which are secured by the police.
Are we surprised? We're not.
Because we already know: Serbia generally has no state institutions, Serbia does not have a legal system, Serbia does not even have a president - there is only that guy who does not shy away from anything in order to continue with his way of life. He and his men must win at every place, to be 10:0, because they are terrified of even the smallest crack that can widen and widen...
They have to show that they have consolidated. Are they? Just look at how many resources they need: they bring in campaigners from all over the country, they invest in the campaign as if it were their last, they buy everyone who can be bought - and that in environments that are already prone to them, with a significant share of the rural population and in conditions of media darkness, not to say hell. And all those municipalities together, plus Bor, have fewer voters than in New Belgrade. Now, imagine parliamentary elections and that dispersion of resources. Are there that many? It would be difficult to see what we see
could be called consolidation.
We also know the following: Serbia does not have organs of order - it has organs of disorder. That's why there are paramilitary debtors, people from various "jobs" made possible by SNS (without it they would have been in prisons for a long time), ex-prisoners... We call them beaters, hoodlums, čacijas, hooligans. This morning, Raša Nedeljkov, speaking about such, said that criminals attacked a CRTE observer, a lawyer.
Criminals, that's a better word. The police mostly protect them while they beat citizens. So much for
"law enforcement agencies".
But Serbia has citizens. Finally. And a lot of them. The government is never more aggressive, everyone is like that
the bully you're about to leave. But in these conditions, never more observers, people ready to fight, despite the fact that they can be attacked, injured. This is a test for the upcoming elections. Today, under these conditions, SNS will hardly lose. One municipality would be a great success. But the decline in votes is certain.
However, we see that the energy of March 15, 2025 does not dissipate so easily. To the big ones
election, you need to learn from the field, work on organization. And if he has time, maybe go to a self-defense course with Vladan Slavković.
