The Prime Minister of the neighboring country, Andrej Plenković, visited Serbia for the first time. That's what the news says, but the news is not very accurate, and especially not precise.
Namely, Plenković did not visit the country or the state of Serbia, but the ethnic Croats living in Serbia. In Subotica, like a Santa Claus from the Motherland, he opened a house called "Motherhouse" for them, which was financed by Croatia, and then returned home.
Aleksandar Vučić is no different: he doesn't really like visiting neighboring countries (Croatia in particular), but that's why he adores visiting Serbs in neighboring countries, imagining himself as their patron saint.
That's how nationalism works: relations between countries are not important, but "our people" and the falsely patronizing care for its culture, language, identity, traditions, sanctuaries...
This permanently poisons the relations in the Balkans, and since we cannot find a political solution to that problem, I propose an arithmetic one: that all citizens of Serbia declare themselves as Croats, and that all citizens of Croatia declare themselves as Serbs.
So finally our neighbors from the neighborhood will have to take care of us.
