The well-known basketball journalist, commentator and podcaster Edin Avdić died at the age of 47.
As reported by the media, Avdic died in Belgrade as a result of heart problems.
Edin was born on June 19, 1979 in Sarajevo.
He was one of the most famous sports journalists, commentators and columnists in the Balkans, definitely best known for his broadcasts of basketball games and his detailed knowledge of NBA and European basketball. He graduated in journalism at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo, and before his career as a journalist, he was actively involved in basketball in the youth selections of KK Bosna.
He started his career at Federal Television, then worked at OBN, where he gained great popularity as a commentator of the NBA League, and then became one of the protective faces of Arena Sport television. He is known for his energetic commenting style, expert analyzes and basketball columns that have been among the most read in the region for years.
Recently, together with his colleague Miloš Jovanović, he hosted the popular podcast "Udvajanje", as well as his author's show "X&O's chat" on Una Television.
Thanks to his knowledge, charisma and authentic approach, Avdić is considered one of the most recognizable and respected sports commentators in the former Yugoslavia.
