This year, the Government of Serbia, at the proposal of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, will adopt a decree on subsidization purchases of electric vehicles, and subsidies will also apply to electric "pandas" whose serial production in Kragujevac should start soon, stated the state secretary of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Sandra Dokić.
Dokić told Tanjug that the Regulation on the conditions and method of implementing the subsidized purchase of new electric vehicles should be adopted at the end of January, so requests could start being submitted at the beginning of February, and the submission is expected to last until October 31. .
Series production of the Fiat Grande Panda electric car will begin, according to announcements, in the third week of January.
This will make Serbia the first country in the Balkans to have final production of electric vehicles. From the production lines in Kragujevac, first electric and then hybrid vehicles will come off. Those who decide to buy such a vehicle will be able to count on state assistance.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Sandra Dokić, said that the Ministry has been subsidizing the purchase of electric vehicles for six years.
After the adoption of the decree on the website of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, it will be possible to fill out a form containing all the data on the necessary documentation, depending on whether the applicant is a natural or legal person.
"We have adequate documentation, whether all tax obligations have been settled, property tax, that the persons have not been convicted, there is some other documentation, which we do not consider complicated to collect," said Dokić.
She pointed out that over 2.800 vehicles have already been subsidized and that they have to carry out an administrative procedure.
"We have to carry out the administrative procedure, which on our part had to be followed properly, because after all it is about the spending of budget funds and really all the documentation must be obtained there," explained Dokić.
According to previous announcements, this car will cost a maximum of 25.000 euros in the electric version, i.e. less than 19.000 euros in the hybrid variant, and at the celebration of Fiat's 125th birthday in Turin, General Director Olivier Francois said that in his company "the favorable price of a car never calls into question".
