There is no more delay, the United States of America has imposed sanctions on the Serbian Oil Industry, the company's management announced
American sanctions Due to the oil industry of Serbia majority ownership of Russia they came into force this morning at six o'clock, NIS announced and denied the information reported by some media on Wednesday (October 9) that the sanctions are being postponed for another seven days.
The company informs the public that the special license of the United States Department of Finance, which enables smooth operational business, has not been extended until this moment.
"From the moment the company was listed on the SDN (Specially Designated Nationals) list in January, NIS has been carefully monitoring the situation and is trying to adapt its business to the new circumstances. The priorities, as before, remain the regular supply of petroleum products to the domestic market, as well as the preservation of the social stability of employees. NIS has secured sufficient stocks of oil for processing at this time, while gas stations are properly supplied with all types of petroleum products," the statement said.
Payment cards
In the event that foreign payment cards (Master card, Visa) cease to function, payment at gas stations will be possible with the domestic "Dina" card, cash, and the "IPS show" method.
"The use and payment of 'With us on the road', Agro and Taxi cards will be available without interruption. As for wholesale, smooth payment traffic in dinars is also ensured and NIS, for its part, remains a reliable partner and is ready to fulfill all contractual obligations to business partners, including corporate clients and large customers. The payment cards of corporate customers function smoothly," the statement added.
It should be noted that in cooperation with partners, the Government of the Republic of Serbia and shareholders, NIS is working to overcome this situation.
NIS continues to cooperate with the US Ministry of Finance on the request for removal from the SDN list, which the company initially submitted on March 14, and supplemented on September 28 of the current year. Delisting is a long and complex process.
It is emphasized that the Company continues to carefully monitor the current situation and will promptly inform the public of any new circumstances that may affect the operations of NIS.
