The company "Qantas" published the first pictures aircraft "Airbus A350-1000ULR", which will operate non-stop flights between Sydney and London, i.e. New York, from 2027.
The plane, capable of flying for up to 22 hours continuously, is part of Project Sunrise, which Qantas plans to shorten a journey to the east coast of Australia in about four hours, writes CNN.
The aircraft is in the final stage of assembly at Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, and is equipped with additional fuel tanks with a capacity of 20.000 liters.
"Qantas" has ordered 12 aircraft of this type, and the first one should be delivered in October next year.
The new A350-1000ULR will have 238 seats and a specially designed rest area to reduce jet lag and improve comfort during very long flights.
