Government of Serbia made a decision to transfer 200 million dinars to the budget reserve in order to compensate the applicants constitutional appeals, was published in the Official Gazette.
As can be seen from the decision, the money is originally budget was intended for Commercial Courts, in order to finance the implementation of court proceedings, he writes New economy.
Funds are now being allocated. Ministry of Justice "in order to secure the missing funds needed for the payment of compensation for damages to the applicants of the constitutional appeal awarded by the decision of the Constitutional Court which determined the violation and denial of the rights guaranteed by the Constitution".
For which complaints does the state allocate 200 million dinars?
It is not clear from the Government's decision which decision or decisions of the Constitutional Court we are talking about, but in April and March this court accepted a number of appeals for the violation of rights, such as the right to a fair trial, to a trial within a reasonable time and property rights.
In March, the USS accepted 118, and in April 47 such appeals, which were submitted in previous years. Previously this year USS accepted only one appeal in February.
Proceedings before the Constitutional Court can take a long time, and among the approved appeals there are some that were submitted in 2018, 2018, and 2019.
