Serbia has secured an additional three months of gas supply, the Minister of Energy confirmed Dubravka Đedović Handanović after a meeting with the president of Gazprom's Board of Directors, Alexey Miller.
Minister Đedović Handanović said that the additional gas supply, i.e. the extension, was confirmed gas arrangementand in another three months after June 30, reports RTS.
"It is important for our country, for our citizens, for our economy because these are stable deliveries, extremely favorable in price, but also because of the flexibility and the quantities they carry. About the expansion of Banatski dvor as an important project for additional gas storage in our country from 450 to 750 million cubic meters. A very important topic for us, the NIS problems that we have been facing for 18 months, where Serbia has not done anything, nor contributed to the introduction of these sanctions and because of that, our citizens are not they must suffer, they must not suffer, and that a sustainable solution must be found, which must be acceptable to the American administration," said Dubravka Đedović Handanović.
The topics of the meeting were further partnership with the Russian Federation, energy cooperation and current projects in the gas sector.
They positively assessed the progress of works on the expansion of the Banatski Dvor underground gas storage facility.
