Workers' union Radio and Television of Serbia on Saturday, he asked the management of the public service and the competent services to contact them urgently and give clear guidelines for work during blockade.
"If no one addresses us as soon as possible, we will consider that the management has withdrawn and is not able to manage the public media service", according to the statement published after the meeting of the Union of Workers.
The resignations of all editors and journalists who did not respect media laws and the Code of Journalists "and allowed falsehoods and insults against their colleagues, students and other citizens to be presented in Dnevnik 2 and other news programs" are also demanded.
Another reason for the resignations is "responsibility to all citizens of Serbia, due to the fact that they were exposed to untrue and censored information, which is not appropriate for any public service".
"We demand an immediate change in the editorial concept of RTS's information program and professional reporting, in accordance with the applicable laws and journalistic code, which implies reporting on all current events in Serbia, which are of public interest to all citizens," the conclusions of the Workers' Union state.
"The majority of RTS employees have literally become hostages of an unscrupulous and irresponsible minority"
It is emphasized that this applies to all broadcasts of the news program and indicates that "due to the current way of reporting the news program, the majority of RTS employees have literally become hostages of an unscrupulous and irresponsible minority."
It is recalled that due to the non-reporting of the student protest on March 15, the RTS Archive was permanently deprived of that material and in the future it will have to use the documentation of other television stations that covered it.
The last request of the Workers' Union of RTS is to "immediately stop the practice of sending part-time journalists and technicians on high-risk tasks, such as reporting from protests and rallies, because the precariousness of their position absolutely does not allow them to be abused in that way."
