Student of "Jožef Atila" Primary School in Novi Sad she brought a knife to school, which upset the students' parents. The incident happened on Friday, September 18, and according to the parent who spoke to the 021.rs editorial office, the situation was calmed down thanks to the teacher's calm reaction.
According to unofficial information from 021.rs, the case has been reported police on the same day. The police went to the field and took away the knife, and the Center for Social Work and the competent prosecutor's office were informed about the incident.
"Jožef Atila" Primary School also announced the incident, which published a statement on its website.
The school states that they reacted immediately and took all the necessary measures in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
"Meetings of all relevant teams of the school were held and further steps were agreed in order to preserve the safety of the students and the stable functioning of the school," the announcement states.
The school asked parents to talk to their children about how they perceive the situation and to pay attention to their reactions.
"The school is at your disposal for all questions and necessary support. If you notice that your child needs a conversation or additional support, you can contact the school's psychological-pedagogical service every working day," the announcement states.
