Belgrade is developing according to the citizens, announced Siniša Mali and listed the plans that these same citizens do not think well of
At the same time, while the Agency for Spatial Planning and Urbanism is being bombarded with criticism from citizens, Fr Belgrade on the water, Siniša Mali, Minister of Finance and First Vice-President of the Government of Serbia writes on his Instagram profile that Belgrade is developing according to the citizens.
"The projects we are implementing and planning will contribute to the further improvement of the quality of life in our city. New parks, pedestrian and bicycle paths, marinas, coastal landscaping, new cultural facilities and much more will contribute to a completely new image of Belgrade, which can rival the most beautiful European metropolises," he says.
The projects he mentions are, above all, Belgrade on the water and the Expo.
Minister, do you hear the citizens?
It is impossible that Siniša Mali did not hear that citizens disagree with his assessment.
Advertising a bright future, the minister listed that "our city will get a new linear park that will go from New Belgrade to Topčiderski Park, and the route includes the Old Railway Bridge, which will be greened and turned into a pedestrian bridge, as well as the Topčiderka River, which will be cleaned, surrounded by walkways and bicycle paths."

As well as: "Since we continue to lower Belgrade to the rivers, and return their banks to citizens and make them accessible and organized again, we will expand and arrange the Sava Promenade, which will connect '25 May' and Ada Ciganlija along the river bank. In this way, we will get more than eight kilometers of new paths for walking and recreation."
Five years ago, when the Plan for the detailed regulation of the Line Park was presented, there were many objections, including those concerning the endangering of cultural heritage and the protection of private interests. Siniša Mali announced the linear park as if everything is just as it should be and in a tone as if this element of a bright future is being given to the people as a gift. Like when President Vučić announces regular pensions to pensioners.
Hall 1 is not acoustic.
Siniša Mali also announced the new Opera building, which will be located in Hall 1 of the Belgrade Fair, which "will become a cultural and artistic space that will be able to host ballet ensembles, orchestras and theater troupes, both domestic and foreign."
He said what he said, although experts prove that Hall 1 was not designed for the Opera, it does not have the necessary acoustics. He did not say that Hall 1, a cultural monument, will not be seen because it will be surrounded by skyscrapers full of apartments. He did not even say that the entire Belgrade Fair, except for Hall 1, will be demolished, regardless of the fact that it has all the conditions to be protected in its entirety.

Siniša Mali, like the others around him, has his own truth and imposes it without a shred of doubt.
He also boasted about the development of the area of the Terazije Terrace towards the Luka Ćelovića Park, and especially the beginning of "work on the embankment of the Sava River, from Ušće to the Gazela Bridge, in a length of 2.550 meters, and upon their completion, we will have a beautiful promenade and an organized riverbank on the New Belgrade side of the river. At the same time, work is also being done on the expansion of the international pier. The construction of a 15,5 km long pedestrian and bicycle path is also planned, which will go all the way to Expo".
"And all this is just part of the planned projects, which are important for the citizens and our city, and which show that Belgrade and Serbia are progressing and developing," concluded Minister Siniša Mali.
