The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, stated that it is realistic that military service will begin on March 1 next year, assessing that its duration of 75 days is "child's play", but that the young men will acquire new habits, responsibility and a future.
During a tour of the new facility for housing and training members of the "Cobra" unit, Vučić said that the young men will also acquire life habits that will be important to them in the future.
He announced that the construction of barracks in the border areas of the country will be especially encouraged, assessing that this will also strengthen local governments.

We will congratulate if we lose the elections
Speaking about the parliamentary elections, which the student movement has been calling for for a year, Vučić said that everything will be in accordance with the Constitution and laws, but also as decided by the relevant competent institution.
"We will congratulate if we lose the elections, but they seem to know that it will be difficult to win them. Admitted, not admitted - the will of the people will be respected," said Vučić.
Vučić said that the rector of Belgrade University Vladan Đokić and former basketball player Dejan Bodiroga will be respectable opponents in the elections, "if they decide on them".
The president of the country also said that he will fight to win.
"Hate cannot be your program. Hate does not win," said Vućić.
Asked about tomorrow's session of the Assembly of Serbia, for the agenda of which a vote of no confidence in the Government of Serbia was proposed, Vučić said that "there is nothing to do with that work" and emphasized that the adoption of laws is important.
