Aleksić: Suspect close to Gašić
But after this big news, an even bigger one soon came. And that is that, allegedly, one of the suspects in this case is a councilor of the Serbian Progressive Party in Kruševac and a man close to Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić.
MP and leader of the National Movement of Serbia Miroslav Aleksić he announced on IX that one of the suspects in the Konjuh case, Rada Spasojević, is a councilor and member of the SNS with close ties to some of the highest officials in the country.
"The Gašićs were regular guests in Konjuh with Radet and his son Nebojša, and here they are together at the party's glory, because the baker is chosen based on merit," announced Aleksić.
Although this information is still unconfirmed, in the past SNS members have been linked to drug criminals on several occasions.
Jovanjica
Among the numerous cases, the largest and most famous is "JovanjicaIn 2019, one of the largest illegal marijuana farms in Europe was discovered on an agricultural property near Stara Pazova, registered for the cultivation of organic food.
The owner of the plantation where about 65.000 stems were found, Predrag Koluvija, was accused of unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, although he has not been legally convicted to date.
In the second indictment that was launched, the so-called "Jovanjica 2", suspicion was cast on members of the Ministry of the Interior, the Security-Information Agency and the Military Intelligence Agency, who are on trial for allegedly protecting Koluvija and his farm.
According to the media, SNS official Zoran Babić, member of the main and executive board of SNS Dragomir Petronijević, as well as minister Aleksandar Vulin came to the "organic food" plantation.
After marijuana was discovered at that place, members of the government, including President Aleksandar Vučić himself, defended Koluvija and his business. Prominent SNS member and lawyer Vladimir Đukanović even defended him in court.
White Wolf
Among the many crimes charged against Veljko Belivuk and his criminal organization, among which are some of the most serious murders, criminal association, kidnappings, violent behavior and others, the indictments also include drug trafficking.
According to the claims of the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime, large quantities of narcotics were found in the "Principes", which were even hidden in the premises of the Partizan football club.
"Belivuk and Miljković (Marko) created a plan to commit criminal acts under the guise of the "Principi" fan group in order to gain primacy in the criminal environment in addition to financial gain - intimidating rival criminal groups, taking over the drug market, murdering members of other criminal groups," says the prosecutor's document on the initiation of the investigation. KRIK.
What gives particular importance to this case is that Belivuk's group was brought into close contact with the then highest public officials from the ranks of the Serbian Progressive Party, including Dijana Hrkalović, then one of the most powerful figures in the police force, and Nebojša Stefanović, a longtime close associate of Aleksandar Vučić.
Godfather Petrovic
People from Vučić's closest circle are also publicly associated with narcotics.
Controversial businessman Nikola Petrović, who is believed to be the godfather of President Vučić, caused an accident on Dedinja in March 2023, and during the investigation it was determined that Petrović was driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.
In addition, Petrović's company from Luxembourg, according to Krik, also did business with Stanko Subotic, who in the past had close ties with the biggest drug lord from this area, Darko Sarić.
In an interview with Nedeljnik from 2015, Petrović described his relations with SNS and Aleksandar Vučić.
"My relationship with Vučić is friendly and godfather. I am a member of SNS, but I am not a party official. I am not a politician. Believe it or not, I met Aleksandar in front of the building while playing basketball. Of course, I think he is by far the best and most energetic prime minister that Serbia has ever had." He said he then.
