And if Student list is still neither official nor final, tabloids for days they have been speculating about the names on it, but they are additionally targeting those whose names are already known to the public.
One of the people who found themselves on the wallpaper of the pro-regime media is an actress Bojana Maljevic, which we found out will not be on the student list. On that occasion, she sent a letter to the students, which then appeared in the tabloids. According to Maljević, the letter was not intended for the public, but it reached the public, where it was interpreted in different ways, everyone read it "within the limits of their corruption".
The letter she sent to the students, she published today (August 5) on the social network X in its entirety, also talking about the patronage of candidates from the list.
Protection of candidates from the student list
"When I wrote about the lack of protection of the candidates, I did not mean only the decision-making process itself. From my point of view, it doesn't matter who will remain in SL. I also meant the period that follows until the final list is determined. I believed that the candidates must (and with changes in the procedure they could) be protected from arbitrary and unverified accusations, media constructions, threats and public judgments for which no one will take responsibility," wrote Maljević on the aforementioned social network.
The issue of candidate security has been a problem since the list began to be mentioned, and it became even bigger when tabloids speculated about who was on it.
The informer "mega-exclusively" published an allegedly complete student list with 250 names, which they claim is led by the rector of the University of Belgrade, Vladan Đokić. The authenticity of the list was quickly questioned, given that some names on it were repeated, and that the rules on equal gender representation were not respected.
However, that did not prevent the pro-regime media from writing about and threatening the people on that list.
Under attack from the tabloids
That's how he is the editor-in-chief at TV Informer Dragan J. Vučićević stated: "I hear that Kokanović is bragging that he was promised to be a minister, I don't know exactly what. I just don't know if he will be with the ax or without," he said, referring to Zlatko Kokanović, an activist of the "Ne damo Jadar" Association.
The tabloids also targeted assistant professor of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Sanja Fritz, whom Vučićević said was "most responsible for the canopy", and that "her hands are bloody, not up to her palms but up to her shoulders, and now instead of being in prison, she is a candidate on their list".

Alo published texts in which it is claimed, without evidence, that the husband of one alleged candidate is a thief, and that another potential candidate stole money from European funds in order to undergo stomach reduction surgery.
Looking back at what is happening to the candidates from the list, Maljević na Xu adds that "in the coming period it will be even worse, because just as my letter got into the tabloids - the entire 'arguments and counter-arguments of the students' in the vetting process, which now also has an eternal duration."
