Study at UNIRSM of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Niš in the blockade assessed that the recently published news that the company Ryaner is withdrawing from Constantine the Great Airport in that city, just another "nail" in the coffin of a story that has been going on for years.
The students stated on Instagram that due to the new laws which, apparently, favor the monopolization of the market in favor of the state company Air Serbia, there is also the possibility of the withdrawal of Viz Air, so that, if that happens, Niš could be left with practically one airline.
"At the same time, the complete demolition of the old terminal and the construction of a new one is announced. But why invest so much in a new terminal if the airport is left without two of the three companies that brought passengers to it", asked the students, adding that the existing terminal is more than enough for the current number of passengers, especially for a potentially reduced number after the withdrawal of airlines.

Asking who all those projects are actually intended for, the students add that instead of developing the airport, they are looking at shutting down lines, possible monopolization of the market and investing millions in infrastructure, which, if the number of passengers continues to decline, will be less and less needed.
"Niš does not need another megalomaniacal project. Niš needs an airport that will really work in the interest of the citizens," said the students.
The Irish low-cost airline company Ryanair announced within a few days that it will suspend flights from and to Niš at the beginning of winter due to fuel problems.
The airline did not clarify the details of its decision.
On the Ryanair website, the last flight of the year that can be booked from Niš is on October 24, and there are no flights available after that.
