One of the recognizable symbols of Belgrade, Hotel "Yugoslavia", was demolished today to the ground, and on that place, as previously announced, a luxury business-residential complex with two skyscrapers.
On the ruins of Hotel "Yugoslavia" are construction machines that crush rubble and load it into trucks.

Hotel "Yugoslavia" it was sold on March 22 last year at the auction at the starting price of 3.176.997.271 dinars, about 27 million euros, and the buyer is MV Investment as the only participant in the auction, otherwise a company owned by the Millennium team.
The first excavators started the demolition of the building of the "Yugoslavia" hotel in November 2024, despite numerous protests by citizens who opposed the demolition and damage to the surrounding area on the border between New Belgrade and Zemun.
Hotel "Yugoslavia" was opened on July 31, 1969.
