"This is not Great Britain for you, in Serbia you answer to me when I ask you. If I don't like the answer, you can spend the night in a Serbian prison."
These are the words of the Scottish woman Kate Barr, who is fishing from Scotland to Hong Kong to raise one million pounds for three humanitarian organizations, a policewoman in Serbia allegedly said. At least she says so on TikTok.
He explains that in police station she left because she wanted to report the crime she witnessed as an eyewitness.
However, the policewoman who interrogated her, she claims, was extremely unpleasant, verbally harassing her and asking questions - as if Barr had actually committed a crime and not come to report it.
"I told her - I'm not a criminal, I came to report a crime," says Barr. "I added that it's okay to be questioned, that I will answer every question, but please make them more pleasant."
When she heard that, the policewoman allegedly became enraged and started threatening her with prison, and Bar soon packed up and left Serbia.
She said that the younger officers showed a more normal behavior towards her, that they saw that she was not a problem and tried to help her, and the MUP has not yet responded to her claims.
