The slogans are at the beginning of August in Pristina were "Kosovo is waiting", alluding to the September 16 judgment in The Hague Hashim Thaci, Kadrije Veselji, Redžep Seljimi and Jakup Krasnići according to accusations of war crimes against humanity. However, very quickly they turned into a celebration before the welcome of the "innocents", as clocks were posted all over the city that ticked until the verdict and, in their opinion, the return of these four to Kosovo as free people.
Culture is harnessed as well, murals and banners are placed, as well as exhibitions. Thus, in Pristina, a banner was placed in front of the EULEX headquarters: "In the name of the people, declare them innocent."
"Don't expect Kosovo to remain silent if injustice is committed in the name of justice," said Fljaka Fazlija, the daughter of a fallen KLA member. She said that the banner represents "the belief and expectation of thousands of citizens of Kosovo".
"Don't forget the kind of sacrifice this republic was built on. Don't equate the liberator with the occupier. Don't turn justice into something that hurts the victim once again. And don't expect Kosovo to be silent if injustice is done in the name of justice," said Fazlija.
