Parents of students Gymnasium "Jovan Jovanović Zmaj" in Novi Sad they announced that he was the director of the school Radivoje P. Stojković replaced at least 54 professors and professional associates from the University of Novi Sad in just over a year.
They came to this data, as they stated, by comparing the teaching staff who were engaged in the school until September 2025 with the employees who currently work in the gymnasium.
Among the professors who are no longer at the school, according to their statements, some previously worked on a fixed-term basis for more than 15 years, while some professional associates taught professional subjects in specialized departments for more than two decades, writes FoNet.
Parents estimated that such a volume of changes in the teaching staff represents an unprecedented case in the history of Serbian education.
The "kneeling" director of the "Jovina" gymnasium changed the locks
At the same time, they addressed the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, who came to the defense of director Stojković on Sunday, asking him if he considers the students and their parents responsible for this situation, bearing in mind his earlier assessment that the parents did not raise their children properly.
They also asked Vučić whether his real intention was to shut down the oldest and most famous high school in Novi Sad, with the explanation that no school can function without teachers and students.
If, as they state, that is not the goal, the parents expect Vučić to immediately request the dismissal of Stojković, who, according to them, the president himself admitted was a difficult man and made mistakes.
During today's visit to Zapadnobački district, Vučić also spoke about the students' protest in the office of the director of the "Jovan Jovanović Zmaj" Gymnasium. On that occasion, he accused the students of jumping uncontrollably around the director, while Stojković sat and remained silent.
Vučić and the tearing of the "Expo" volumes: Parents failed to raise their children
The President of Serbia, however, assessed that the problem is not with the principal of the high school, but with the parents and the way they raised their children.
He stated that Stojković can sometimes make mistakes, but that he does not consider him the main problem. According to Vučić, the responsibility lies with the parents who make fun of older people and direct their children towards politics from the age of 15, at the same time teaching them to disrespect the elderly.
