Against Milorad Dodik and other politicians from Republika Srpska were charged with glorification Ratko Mladić, a convicted war criminal.
A few days later, several people who learned the same thing on social media were also fired in Bosnia - they said goodbye with honors to a man who was sentenced to life in prison before a court in The Hague for, among other things, the persecution of Croats and Bosniaks, the siege of Sarajevo and the murder of more than 8.000 people in Srebrenica, which was labeled as genocide in several verdicts.
These people must have known that with these messages they directly violated the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which, among other things, prohibits the glorification of legally convicted war criminals. It is a criminal act of inciting national, racial and religious hatred, discord and intolerance from Article 145a paragraph 6.
The law was adopted in 2021, and was imposed by the former high representative Valentin Inzko, near the end of the mandate, and the prescribed penalty for violating the law is imprisonment of at least three years. There is no mention of layoffs in companies.
Although ordinary people who broke the law bear the consequences, as they should, a much more important question is what will happen to the criminal charges against almost the entire leadership of Republika Srpska. These politicians constantly, and especially now, illegally glorify Ratko Mladić, and they were probably followed by doctors, security workers and others who were fired.

On the other hand, the people who reported them are falling out. Political scientist Ivana Marić and politician Ćamil Duraković received threats on their profiles on social networks due to reports of violations of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"I received over 2.500 messages, some insulting, some threatening. Now it's a lot more intense than in the past. Unbelievable. So the message to Bosniaks, who are a constituent people and live in this part of the country, is that not even the state prosecutor's office is an address we can rely on to ensure our freedom and security," said Duraković.
