Farmers will go on a protest drive across Serbia on September 15, but without blocking roads and traffic routes, the IZOPS points out.
This action was decided at yesterday's (September 11) meeting in Stara Pazovand which, in addition to farmers from IZOPS, was also attended by representatives of the Banatska Crnica Association, Dolovački Paori, the Banat Association, the Aradac Farmers' Association and the Srbobran Municipality Farmers' Association, writes Agroklub.
IZOPS announced the protests for next week, and they were waiting to agree on the details, the start date and the dynamics, with the other associations.
"It has been agreed that it will be a warning protest, and after Monday we will see what we will do next. Farmers will take to the streets throughout the territory of Serbia, in protest drives with tractors or by expressing dissatisfaction in front of local, district, provincial or republican institutions", says Mileta Slankamenac from IZOPS.
The main request - one-time aid due to drought and frost
IZOPS points out that they have several clear demands: diesel without excise duty at the pumps, free market, favorable subsidized loans for farmers with 1% interest.
Also, they demand from the state the payment of 300 euros per hectare, as well as the payment of all debts to farmers and a detailed plan of amounts and payments in the future.
In mid-July, farmers from ten associations from Vojvodina and central Serbia asked the state for a one-time aid of 300 euros per hectare for spring crops and fruit plantations registered in the e-agrar system, due to, as they said, unforeseeable consequences of drought and spring frost.
One more request
Slankamenac says they added another request.
"We ask that the ministry deal with the fictitious farms and present to us and the public what they have done in this regard. The recommendation is to start by determining the difference between the number of farms that submitted invoices for certified seeds and the number of farms that submitted a subsidy request of 18 per hectare," he points out.
Let us remind you that the Initiative for the Survival of Serbian Farmers has been supporting the student protests since they started 10 months ago, and since then they have not negotiated with the Ministry of Agriculture.
