Carrier Milomir Jacimovic, who was detained in front of the premises on July 1 Social Media in Novi Sad, and then transferred to a psychiatric hospital, he was released from the hospital on Friday (July 4), but was immediately instructed to report to the police station in which he was detained.
Jaćimović's lawyer, Petar Prelić, told N1 that his client was handed a decision at the police station charging him with causing general danger in an attempt and obstructing officials in the performance of their official duties, and he was detained at the police station.
He added that the hearing before the prosecutor will be on Sunday and called on the citizens Novi Sad, but also others, to support him.
While Jaćimović was in the hospital, his lawyer announced that there was no complaint against him, but today they found out that this was not the case and that there was a solution that awaited him as soon as he left the hospital.
Who is Milomir Jacimovic?
Milomir Jaćimović is a truck driver from Đurđevo, who became famous because he transported students and citizens to protests all over Serbia for free.
Because of his support for students, Jaćimović began to feel the consequences. His buses were vandalized several times, and he received numerous fines.
Two days before the rally in Belgrade on June 28, the tires of his vehicles were slashed.
"We guarded the buses all night from the 27th to the 28th. We were supposed to leave at five o'clock, the drivers were arriving. A guy came by and smashed my windshield on one bus. We ran out, but he ran away," Jaćimović explained to N1 at the time.
At that time, he pointed out that the police came, but did a hasty investigation. A traffic inspector from Belgrade, as well as two BIA members, inspected the buses.
"They just tore off the license plates of my buses. They destroyed my company," said Jaćimović.
The incident in front of the premises of SNS
On Tuesday, July 1, Jaćimović and his minor son drove in front of the premises of SNS in Bulevar oslobođenja in Novi Sad, and his son got out of the car and started pasting posters on the premises of that party.
He was soon arrested. Although the initial information was that he was arrested for pasting posters, the portal 021.rs unofficially reported that Jaćimović's son was charged with the crime of assault on an official, because during the police intervention, he allegedly pushed the policeman away.
The prosecutor requested custody for up to 30 days for Jaćimović's minor son, but the court refused to order him custody. The prosecution has announced that it will appeal against that decision.
Jaćimović, who remained in the car, was visibly upset about what happened to his son.
He placed a five-liter plastic bottle between his legs, and in his right hand, according to N1 reports, he held a lighter, with the obvious intention to catch fire.
The police noticed what Jaćimović was doing, and broke the windows on the driver's and passenger's seats of the car and pulled Jaćimović out of the vehicle. One policeman knocked the lighter out of his hand.
Jaćimović was then taken away by an ambulance.

The students in the blockade of the faculty in Novi Sad publicly thanked and supported truck driver Milomir Jaćimović after his arrest for attempted suicide.
"When no one wanted to drive, he said, 'Get in, kids, let's go.'" When we were faced with roadblocks, rain and police zones - Milomir was waiting for us," the students wrote.
"When they slashed his tires, when he was threatened by an anonymous voice on the other side of the wire, when they took off his license plates and stopped his vehicle - he didn't pull over. He didn't give up. He kept driving," the students said.
They told him that he must never harm himself - "not because of them".
They also published the account number to which citizens can pay donations and help this trucking company.

On the occasion of the aid collected so far for Milomir, he posted on the social network X (X).
"Sisters and brothers, all comrades against this evil, I send you the greatest possible gratitude because you collected 92.000 dollars for truck transporter Milomir Jaćimović. You showed everyone that we stand behind everyone who fights for truth and justice. We continue even harder to block all cities until the villain calls elections. Milomir's lawyer has been informed about the money transfer protocol. As soon as Milomir is better, we will solve the transfer," wrote Milanović.
He announced that the campaign stops at $100.000, although much more money could be collected for Milomir.
