Students of the Parish they wrote letters to their teachers from three schools in Aleksandrovac. However, the letters were distributed only in the "Aca Aleksić" Elementary School and the "Ivo Lola Ribar" Elementary School.

"Unfortunately, the director of the 'Sveti Tryfun' High School did not want to collect the letters, explaining that the professors are not present at the moment. He suggested that they be delivered on Monday," the parish students who distributed the letters on Friday (January 17) told Vreme.
What does the letter say?
The students address the teachers: "We are addressing you, first of all, to thank you for everything you have done for us. Thank you for teaching us that being educated means thinking for yourself and having your own opinion."

"Now it's our turn. It's time to stand behind you, our teachers, and show you that courage is knowing what not to be afraid of," the students said in the letter.
They call on their teachers to go on strike and "prove that education does not work without them, and the state without education."

The letter was signed by about 158 former students of these three schools with the message: "We want you to know that each one of us, with his name and surname, stands behind you." We are in this together."
A total of 250 letters were prepared, as many teachers as there are.
Support for young people is needed more than ever
Irena Stojanović, a student at the Faculty of Dentistry in Belgrade from Župa, told "Vreme" that with this gesture they wanted to remind the teachers of the exceptional work they did - "they shaped generations of smart and, above all, good people who are fighting for the truth today." .
Also, they want to remind them that right now young people need their support more than ever.

He believes that together they can show society that there are people who are ready to fight for a better future.
"As we know, we are facing a big problem of insufficient information among our citizens. Aleksandrovac is a small place, but we young people want to illuminate the other side of the story through these actions. "We are not asking for everyone to support us, but it is extremely important for us that people are aware of what is happening in our society because it is their right - the right to know, understand and then choose," explains Stojanović.
Our interlocutor recalls the protest in Jupa that took place on January 3 and says that they owe special thanks to "all the brave people" who came to the streets to support them and who "showed what solidarity, empathy and the fight for justice mean.

"We love Aleksandrovac, but unfortunately we don't see a future in him." We're all in this together, and let's turn all those lessons about justice, solidarity, and courage we've learned in school into real change. Support for the attacked female student
Finally, Stojanović reminds that the blockades at the faculties started as a response to the attack on the students of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, and that today not only have the students' demands not been met, "but the attacks continue continuously".
To a colleague who was run over by a car during the roadblocks on Thursday in Rooseveltova Street and who was seriously injured on that occasion, the students of the Parish supported her and wished her a speedy recovery.
