The baby, seven months old, passed away two days ago in the hospital in Belgrade, since she was transported there from Smederevske Palanka, where, according to the allegations, she was not provided adequate assistance.
The details of what exactly happened, apart from the parents' statements on social networks, are not known, and the General Hospital "Stefan Visoki" told "Vreme" that the case is being investigated.
"The OB 'Stefan Visoki' cooperates and will cooperate in its full capacity with all competent institutions, and in connection with this unfortunate event, with the aim of determining all the circumstances of the treatment of little Nina and possible eventual omissions", the answer states.
As it is added, due to the further investigation, there will be no other information until the end of the process, says the statement signed by the acting director of the hospital "Stefan Visoki" Vladan Benaković.

The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Smederevo announced on Friday, June 27 that immediately after the notification of the death of a child on June 25, 2025 in a health facility in Belgrade, to which it was referred from the health facility in Smederevo Palanka, it took all necessary actions in order to determine all the circumstances of this tragic event.
"For now, we are waiting for the findings of the autopsy, that is, the delivery of the autopsy report, and at the same time, the entire medical documentation on the treatment of the child is being collected," it is stated in the announcement of the VJT in Smederevo.
In front of the hospital in Smederevska Palanka on Thursday, June 26, several dozen residents paid their respects to the deceased girl.
