Full professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences Maja Kovačević she was voted dean of this faculty, the first woman in this position in history FPN, at the Council session.
Her opponent was Darko Nadić, who is currently acting dean.
As stated in the announcement of the Faculty of Political Sciences, Maja Kovačević was elected unanimously, by the votes of 19 present members of the Council, and will be the head of our institution for the next three years.
Kovačević announced that in the next three years, the priorities of the work of the new administration will be the stability of the institution, efficient management and protection of the interests and academic integrity of the Faculty.
The vice dean's team consists of prof. Miloš Hrnjaz, Ph.D., as vice-dean for studies of the first degree of higher education, prof. Marko Veković, Ph.D., as vice dean for second and third degree studies of higher education, prof. dr. Aleksandra Krstić as vice dean for scientific research and prof. Dr. Marko Simendić as vice dean for development.
In the period from 1995 to 2001, Maja Kovačević worked as a research associate at the Institute of Economic Sciences in Belgrade, and in 2001 she was the head of the Department for the European Union in the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
In the period from 2001 to 2002, she was an assistant to the federal minister in the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, then from 2003 to 2004, the head of the Office for the Accession of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia/Serbia and Montenegro to the European Union, before moving to the Faculty of Political Sciences, where she first performed the duties of the head of the bureau for international cooperation and was a project manager.
