A shooting took place in a cafe in the Kumodraž neighborhood, in which one person was killed and another was wounded. As the media unofficially learns, Darko Vesković Prika, one of the two defendants for the murder of Blaž Đurović, a member of the "Kavach clan".
This is the latest in a series of incidents in Belgrade, which is linked to Serbian drug clans. The past weeks were marked by arson in bars, Molotov cocktails and liquidations, one of which led to the arrest of the former police chief. Veselin Milić.
Murder in Kumodraz
The search for the perpetrator of the murder in Kumodraz is still ongoing.
KRIK reports that he had access to the surveillance cameras in the cafe. According to this media, Darko Vesković was sitting in a corner with one man, at one point he went to the front door to meet another man with a cap on his head.
After they shook hands, Vesković turned and walked back to the table. A man with a cap first followed him, then pulled out a gun and shot Vesković in the head from behind. Vesković fell to the floor, and the killer fired several more shots before fleeing.
Just two months ago, the sentence of 15 years in prison was revoked for the murdered Darko Vesković and a new trial was ordered for the murder of Blaž Đurović. Together with Vesković, there was also Nemanja Ivanović, accused of illegal carrying of weapons. It was suspected that Vesković and Ivanovic were hired by the "Skalja clan".

Vuk Musić, previously convicted in the case of the murder of hooligan Velibor Dunjić, was also wounded in Kumodrž, KRIK writes.
Several political parties announced the event.
"Yesterday's murder in a cafe on Voždovac is already the 20th incident since the beginning of the year, which includes murders or explosive devices in cafes throughout the city. Belgrade is not safe, because the city is ruled by crime," stated the Green-Left Front in a statement.
Upstairs cafes and taverns
In May, several bars in Belgrade were attacked.
We are talking about well-known bars, "Babaroga", "Vinoteka" and "Angelino". Explosive devices were thrown at "Babarog" and "Angelino", but fortunately, no one was injured. In "Vinoteca" the window was broken.
The owner of "Angelino", Vuk Bajrušević, was himself the target of an attack at the end of last year, when he was wounded in that bar. Bajrušević is known to the public because he was the victim of the kidnapping of the Zemun clan in November 2000.
Less than 12 hours after the attack on these Belgrade cafes (May 21.5), a shooting took place in the "Džeri" restaurant in New Belgrade. The owner of the restaurant was wounded. A young man suspected of being the perpetrator of the crime was soon arrested.
"Such a situation was not even in the nineties. We see that this government does not have control, but is in symbiosis with organized crime, and these consequences are inevitable. They will become more and more visible to the naked eye," says journalist Vuk Cvijić for N1 regarding these events.
He adds that "we are still waiting for confrontations in the underground, in which people who are either in power, or close to them, will be drawn into it."
At the beginning of February of this year, explosive devices were thrown on "Babarog" and "Jeri". At that time, four people were detained, among whom was allegedly the leader of the criminal group Aleksandar A. aka Kravica.

The "Senjak" case
All these events took place shortly after the arrest of Belgrade police chief Veselin Milić, who was charged with the crime of failure to report the crime and the perpetrator.
Milić, who is currently in custody, was arrested together with 10 other people for the murders of Aleksandar Nešović Baja in the restaurant "27" in Senjak in mid-May.

The media reports that Milić arranged a meeting between two members of criminal groups in order to smooth over damaged relations - Nešović and Saša Vuković Bosket. Allegedly, after a verbal argument between Nešović and Vuković, Vuković fired several shots at Nešović in front of Milić.
According to Danas, members of Milić's security, who are police officers, helped Bosket to carry away the unconscious Nešović.
Nešović's disappearance was reported by his wife, and his body was found on May 21 in a barrel on the territory of the municipality of Inđija, in the presence of the public prosecutors of the VJT.
