Kosovo police entered the premises "Official messenger"in Kosovska Mitrovica, and the Office of the Government of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohija and representatives of the Serbian List reacted.
The Office of the Government of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohija accused the Kosovo Police of closing the premises of the "Official Herald" in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, preventing the normal supply of textbooks and teaching materials to Serbian students and schools.
"The cunning attack by the so-called inspectors of the illegitimate municipal government, installed against the will of the residents of the majority-Serb northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, is an indirect attack on children, with the aim of removing the opportunity for the youngest Serbs to be educated in their mother tongue and according to the programs of the Republic of Serbia," the statement of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija stated.
In democratic societies, local authorities are a service for citizens, while "Kurti's anti-Serb Gauleiter authorities in the north of Kosovo and Metohija", as stated, are a service for oppressing citizens and violating basic human rights.
"Kurti's attack on the institutions that guarantee the survival of the Serbian people in the north of Kosovo and Metohija continues his policy of ethnic cleansing, with the aim of expelling everything Serbian from Kosovo and Metohija," the statement said.
Serbian list: Continuation of systemic pressure and terror
The Serbian list announced that the premises of the "Official Herald" in North Mitrovica were raided today by members of the Kosovo Police, forcibly evicted the employees from their workplaces and took away their official equipment and thousands of books intended for children.
"This barbaric act represents the continuation of the systematic pressure and terror that is carried out against the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija," Srpska lista said in a statement.
The Serbian list requested an urgent reaction from the international community
The Serbian List requested an immediate response from the international community and the protection of basic human rights, stating that today's incursion is another proof that the authorities in Pristina are continuing a systematic campaign of endangering Serbs.
That party held an urgent meeting with the employees of the "Official Gazette", provided them with support and promised that they would not be left alone.
"The State of Serbia will continue to take care of them, ensuring that no one is left without their income and existence. This attitude towards workers and institutions that take care of the culture, education and identity of the Serbian people is unacceptable," said the Serbian newspaper.
