"Happy birthday, President!"
Birthday greetings are displayed on digital screens in three places in Niš Vladimir Putin, and it is signed by the "Society of Serbian-Russian Friendship Brotherhood". The President of Russia turned 73 on October 7.
In Niš, only the Society of Serbian-Belarusian Friendship is registered under the name "Brotherhood" in the APR, whose legal representative is the former city councilor and spokesperson of the Directorate for Public Transport, now the president of OFK Sinđelić, Nenad Stanković, writes "Južne vesti".
The billboards were put up at the moment when NIS is counting down the days until the sanctions come into force, which will bring many difficulties to the citizens and the energy stability of Serbia, and for which the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said that neither of them respected the interests of Serbia, and neither did Russia.
Russian party without Russians
In accordance with Decision on advertising in the territory of the city of Niš, any placement of visual messages in public space requires the prior consent of the City Administration.
The representatives of the city government in Niš did not announce themselves regarding the posting of congratulations to Putin, while the competent city services have not yet confirmed that the appropriate permit has been issued for these billboards.
According to the data of the last population census in Serbia, only 121 Russians live in Niš. Despite this, in last year's local elections, the Russian Party, in which there are no Russians, ran as a minority candidate, won one mandate and "judged" that the coalition gathered around the SNS would take over power in the city.
