Serbian actor Sergej Trifunović was arrested at the Bajakovo border crossing, while crossing from Serbia to Croatia.
Trifunović was then taken to Split where he was interrogated.
After almost 2 hours of detention, Sergej left the Misdemeanor Court in Split, and as "Slobodna Dalmacija" reports, his passport was confiscated as a precautionary measure, since his new hearing is scheduled for tomorrow at 12:30.
Trifunović said in court today that he does not feel guilty for what he is charged with, that is, for an offense against public order and peace.
The police asked the court for the actor to be imprisoned for 30 days and a fine of 1.000 euros.
After leaving the Misdemeanor Court, he posted on the "X" social network where he wrote: Can you exchange me for Severina?
His wife Isidora was with him at the time of his arrest, with whom he headed to Rijeka.
"He was taken into custody with great inconvenience, which I witnessed." Including physical attacks by the border police,' his wife tells Blic.
On the advice of his lawyer, the actor visibly upset and left the court without explanation or statement to the media.
When asked by N1 Zagreb why Sergej Trufunović was taken into custody, the Split-Dalmatia Police Department stated that in a statement dated September 10, 2023, they informed the public that in connection with a post on a social network from that day in which "a man belittles and insults police officers " conduct an investigation.
They also add that it has been established that there is a well-founded suspicion that "the man has committed the elements of a misdemeanor from Art. 5 and 17 of the (Croatian) Law on Offenses against Public Order and Peace, which is why he was brought to the official premises today".
"A text with inappropriate content has been published"
The police state that in a post on the social network, Trifunović "published a text with inappropriate content in which he at the same time rudely disparaged the police and police officers, stating that the Split policemen extorted over a thousand euros, stating: , black uniforms modeled after Francetić's and that your mothers, who on this occasion will be... according to Articles 5, 17 and 36, be finally satisfied with your primitive bastard", continuing: "Now, Vlach Brabonjci, feel free to issue another warrant".
After the procedure, an indictment will be submitted to the competent municipal misdemeanor court against him, the Croatian police said.
Sergej Trifunović's father also spoke
"Sergei did not enter Croatia." He came to the border and asked at the kiosk if there would be any problems if he entered Croatia. "He was in 'no man's' land and Croatian officials dragged him away, that is, kidnapped him," Tomislav Trifunović, a retired Serbian actor, told the N1 portal.
Tomislav Trifunović added that Sergej was with his wife at the border and that his phone was immediately confiscated.
"They went to Rijeka. The 'kidnappers' did not let him call anyone on the phone. His wife was left alone at the border and she told me all this information," said Tomislav Trifunović.
Sergej Trifunović was also fined a year ago after he was reported by the citizens on Split's Kaštelet beach, because he kept his dog Milet unsupervised, which, as stated, disturbed those present.
