Farmers throughout Of Serbia they have been blocking roads for more than two weeks. They have radicalized the protests since Tuesday (February 24), blocking numerous roads across Serbia.
About 80 highways were blocked for 24 hours or several hours at a time.
Slobodan Brkić, a farmer and member of the association Our Milk, is at the blockades in Bogatić.
"Radicalization is intensifying. We are meeting and discussing whether we will go to Belgrade. So far, we have not made any decision," he tells "Vreme" and adds that such a decision must be agreed upon by all the associations that are in the blockade.
As he explains, the blockades in Bogatić are getting longer and wider every day, as well as in other places throughout the country.
The success of the Minister of Unification of Farmers
The success of the current Minister of Agriculture, says Brkić, is that he managed to unite a large number of farmers in Serbia, which can be seen by the number of associations and farmers in the blockade.
The protesting farmers' associations previously announced that they were ending any dialogue with the Minister of Agriculture, Dragan Glamočić, due to, as they stated, a series of his inaccurate and insulting statements about farmers.
