General Manager Telekom Srbija Vladimir Lučić stated that that company came to know about hakeru who stole some of their data, stating that he was overseas, "east of us" and that he was blackmailing for three bitcoins.
He stated that Telekom is using it artificial intelligence located the hacker in a city east of Serbia, and expects that with the help of international cooperation, he will be detained quickly.
"I think we've pretty much located him with artificial intelligence, and we even know what city he lives in, and his." mobile phone. And we gave it all to the police," he said Lucic for RTS.
According to him, there was an intrusion into a side application, not the system.
"This is only about users of our m:SAT service and those who have had some intervention by technicians in the last seven years, because then the technicians need some information about the user, such as the name and surname, address and contact that the user gave us in order to go out for the intervention," pointed out Lučić.

He stated that the hacker took over the entire database of 690.000 lines, and the total number of active users on the day of the hacker attack was 204.500.
"And in fact if he took, took over the database, then he actually took the data on all those users," Lucic said, adding that "in principle, it is difficult to misuse that data."
The goal of the attack, he added, was blackmail – the hacker demanded three bitcoins.
"But of course we do not negotiate with criminals. We exchanged a certain number of e-mails with him in agreement with the police. Because the more e-mails you exchange, the closer you somehow get to that person, because then he uses different IP addresses several times, he even used more and more different e-mails. Why? Because first of all it is a legal crime in our country. Second, any such agreement with kidnappers would be a green light for new hacker attacks," said Lučić.
On the day of publication of this text, the price of one bitcoin is around 60.960 euros.
