In the attack on the bus of the tourist agency "Barbados" full Serbian tourists who were returning from Pefkohori, several windows were broken with stones and one of the drivers was injured.
Fortunately, it was easier, they told "Vreme" from this agency, adding that the teenagers claimed that they threw oysters at the bus "for fun".
From the agency "Barbados" it was later for Greece a new bus was sent, and they say that everyone returned to Serbia safely after that.
"Four minors threw pieces of stones at the bus and when the 64-year-old bus driver was injured, he was taken to Ahepa University Hospital. He was discharged from the hospital the same evening," the Consulate General said in a statement.
According to the police report, the incident was caused by four people, most likely minors.
"The incident happened last night around half past nine, on the bypass around Thessaloniki where there were works, four minors took advantage of this and threw stones at the bus. The Greek police caught the two attackers who said they did it for fun, that is, for fun," Dejan Miljojković, the head of traffic at the agency, told "Vreme".
Miljojković adds that two windows on the bus were broken, the front and the side. None of the passengers were injured and all returned safely to Serbia.
Only the driver was injured.
"The driver who was sitting in the passenger seat at that moment was the only one injured, he had a couple of cuts, which were repaired during the evening. Fortunately, the driver who was driving the bus at that moment was not injured, so we avoided a bigger problem," Miljojković points out.
Greek media previously reported that three people were slightly injured in the incident.
Similar situations happened in Vranje and Bujanovac
Miljojković points out that this is the first time something like this has happened in Greece, there were similar situations in the south of Serbia.
"Until now, there have been no similar situations in Greece, but in Vranje and Bujanovac, more precisely on the highway near those cities, there have been less dangerous situations a couple of times. Namely, small stones were thrown from the overpass a couple of times, but nothing serious," concluded Miljojković.
