"It is about sending prosecutors from one prosecutor's office to another," Gajić told Juronuj. "Amendments to the law will end the blockade of the work of the High Council of Prosecutions, because for key decisions, such as the appointment of the main prosecutors, a simple majority will be sufficient instead of a triple majority, that is, in a repeated vote, six votes will be enough instead of eight out of a total of 11."
Gajić pointed out that the amendments to the judicial laws did not deprive the prosecution of any jurisdiction in favor of the executive or legislative authorities, but the jurisdictions were redistributed within the prosecution organization.
"I would never turn to Venice Commission, because the issue of internal order must be completely in the hands of the sovereign state. The question arises whether Serbia can pass laws, if it can't, let the EU send us directives like Stalin and then we don't need parties or parliament", said Gajić.
