On Sunday, December 28, in the early hours of the morning, members of the Department for Emergency Situations will carry out removal, transport and destruction air bombs from the Second World War, which was found at a construction site in Belgrade on the water in Nikolaja Kravtsova Street, the MUP announced. Citizens living in the immediate vicinity of the Ministry of Interior are invited to leave their apartments on Sunday from 6 to 9 am.
"It is about a bomb with a total mass of about 470 kilograms, with an explosive charge of approximately 250 kilograms, which was used during the Allied bombing of German positions during the liberation of Belgrade in 1944," the announcement states.
As it is added, the members of the Specialist Team of the Emergency Situations Sector for protection against unexploded ordnance previously carried out a detailed reconnaissance, identification and assessment of the condition of this explosive remnant of war, in order to create safe conditions for its removal and destruction.

"The Ministry of Internal Affairs invites citizens who live in the immediate vicinity of the site, in the vicinity of the Galerija Shopping Center and in parts of the streets: Nikolaj Kravcova, Vojda Đorđe Stratimirović, Luka Ćelovića Trebinjec, Hercegovačka Street (the part between Nikolaj Kravtsov and Vojda Đorđe Stratimirović), as well as Woodrow Wilson Boulevard (part of the corner with Vojda Đorđe Stratimirovića), to on Sunday, December 28, in the period from "From 6 to 9 a.m., if they are able, they leave their apartments," the announcement states.
It is added that if leaving the apartments is not feasible, it is recommended that citizens open the windows, lower the blinds and move away from the windows.
"Also, citizens from Nikolaj Kravtsova Street and Woodrow Wilson Boulevard, near the 'Gallery' Shopping Center, are invited to remove their parked vehicles no later than Saturday, December 27, by 22 p.m. Otherwise, the vehicles will be moved to the parking lots at Slavija and Stari Samište," the announcement states.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the location where the aerial bomb was found is always secured by members of the Police Department for the city of Belgrade.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs appeals to the citizens to fully respect the instructions and orders of the competent services and to follow the current information through the means of public information, in order for this procedure to be carried out safely, in a controlled manner and in the shortest possible time.
