Stimac was arrested on the night of Sunday to Monday in front of the RTS building on suspicion that, as stated by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, he "called for a violent change in the constitutional order and incited the participants of an unannounced rally to attack the participants of another announced rally, which is being held in Pionirski Park".
He was released on Tuesday to defend himself, after which he was questioned at the High Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.

Vladimir Štimac wore the Red Star jersey first from 2008 to 2010, then from 2015 to 2016 and finally from 2019 to 2020.
