Student the list is supported by 44 percent of citizens, and the block led by the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić 32 percent, almost two-thirds of citizens see the calling of early elections as a way to get out of the crisis, and almost every third voter of the party in power believes that elections should be called.
These are the results of a public opinion survey he conducted Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability (CRTA) from September 13th to 27th.
"It doesn't matter who will come to power instead of Vučić, 43 percent of citizens believe, and 39 percent think that we would be worse off without him, which clearly illustrates referendum atmosphere and the division of society", announced CRTA.
The research also showed that the share of citizens with a moderate or undetermined attitude towards protests against the authorities - 58 percent support them, and 39 percent do not support them.
CRTA pointed out the polarization of society in the research it conducted and stated that it is also reflected in what is recognized as the biggest problems Of Serbia - for 26 percent of citizens, the biggest problem is systemic corruption, and for 20 percent of them, it is students and blockades.
"Among those who support Vučić and who see students as the biggest problem, there are mostly older people, as well as citizens with a lower level of education and those for whom the media is favorable to the government as their main source of information," stated CRTA.
According to the survey, more than half of the citizens believe that Serbia is going in the wrong direction, while a third believe that it is on the right path.
"Almost identical findings were also at the beginning of the student protests, in December 2024. Citizens who believe that the country is moving in the wrong direction are to the greatest extent those who support the protests and state anger, anger and concern as the prevailing feelings," CRTA announced.
The survey was conducted by telephone, on a representative national sample of 2020 respondents.
