The early public review of amendments to the Spatial Plan of the Special Purpose Area for Belgrade on the Water began on Wednesday and will last for two weeks, until August 21.
It is planned for residential buildings to occupy up to 70 percent of the plot area, it is stated in the announcement, and it is added that the client of the plan is Beograd na vodi doo, and the holder of the plan is the Agency for Spatial Planning and Urbanism of Serbia, whose director is Đorđe Milić, a former assistant minister. of construction by Goran Vesić.
The protected plot on which Halls 1, 2 and 4 of the Belgrade Fair are located has been visibly reduced so that it includes only a narrow area around Hall 1. The dimensions of the plot from the spatial plan coincide with the graphic part of the urban project that was confirmed by the Ministry of Construction in February this year and which by reducing the area of the protected plot, the protection was removed from Halls 2 and 4 of the Belgrade Fair.
What will happen to the Jugošpeda building?
It is planned to be converted into a museum space for the cultural monument - Milan Vapa's Paper Factory, better known as Jugošped on Savski Venec.
This, as emphasized, coincides with previous announcements by the Minister of Finance, Sinisa Malog, that the Nikola Tesla Museum will be moved there instead of, as previously planned, to the Thermal Power Plant "Snaga i sveltst" in Dorćol, which would be a more appropriate location.
The old sugar factory
In addition to the Belgrade Fair, changes to the spatial plan also plan the construction of apartments on the plots next to the cultural monument complex of the Old Sugar Factory in Čukarica, claim the Association and add that the NIS warehouses used to be located on those plots next to the Hippodrome, and that three years ago they were the company Beograd na vodi doo bought it at a public tender.
With the changes to the spatial plan, residential buildings up to 80 meters in height are planned on that stretch, which will occupy up to 70 percent of the plot area.
Block 18A
In New Belgrade, in Block 18A, the protected habitat "Wintering place of the little crow" is threatened by changes in the spatial plan, warns the Association. On the protected plot, the spatial plan plans the construction of residential and business buildings up to 32 meters high, and in the immediate vicinity of the protected natural property, the construction of commercial buildings up to 32 meters high is also planned, which will reduce the greenery in that area to the level of a statistical error.
