Study at UNIRSM several faculties of the University of Novi Sad announced that on Thursday they received threatening calls from several phone numbers, in which they were suggested not to organize a protest on February 16 against Aleksandar Vučić.
Vučić's arrival at the celebration of the 200th anniversary of "Matica Srpska" has been announced for February 16, which will be held at the Serbian National Theater (SNP) in the center of Novi Sad.

In the publication entitled "Students are not cowards", the students published several testimonies of their colleagues, after phone calls made to them by unknown persons, reports Danas.
The three phone numbers from which the calls were made were also published, and the students called on the authorities to react.

According to reports, the students had a meeting on Wednesday, February 11, where they talked about organizing a public and informal meeting on Monday, February 16.
On Thursday morning, a large number of students of the University of Novi Sad, both those who attended the meeting and those who did not, received threatening, almost identical content.
"The calls ended with a 'last warning' that, if the assembly was held, the students would allegedly bear 'legal consequences' for 'violating public order and peace', 'attacking the president of the state' and 'violating constitutional order'", reads the post on the ftn_se_budi profile.
Students also ask who has the power to "negotiate" on behalf of the institutions with someone who planned to destroy the constitutional order and promise that his planning will be forgiven if the meeting is postponed.
"The students did not plan, nor will they threaten any official or institution of this country in any way, which was unanimously confirmed at the meeting. We are not afraid of threats, because we know that there is no evidence for what they are threatening us with," the students added.
They also ask who is trying to prevent threats public gathering which is guaranteed by the Constitution.
"We demand that the competent authorities urgently determine who and how they obtained the data on the names, movements and phone numbers of the students, to identify the persons who made the threatening calls and to determine who is behind the intimidation attempts," the students state.
