The progress achieved during the first two years since the restart of the Belgrade Jazz Festival is impressive. This is clear from this year's improved and seductive program. If this momentum is maintained and developed in the coming years, the festival will be able to regain its former high positions, quality and initial charm.

The Nobel Prize for Literature this year went to the Turkish writer Orhan Pamuk. The famous novelist, whose works are published in Serbia by Geopoetika, in his first statement after the announcement of the laureate, states that he is still recovering from the shock. Despite the allusions to the repeated political motives of the election, Pamuk deserved the prize for his novels
