As stated, the final phase of the expropriation of immovable property in Djakovica for the purpose of building an ammunition factory, the first in Kosovo, is part of the wider strategy of the Kosovo authorities to strengthen and modernize the Kosovo Security Forces (KSF), which has been especially intensified in the last few years. The focus is on increasing the number of members, equipment, international military exercises and strategic partnerships with allies. Along with the increase in the number of personnel, the intensive process of arming the KBS continues, precisely with the inter-ministerial agreements on cooperation in the field of defense, but also with the recently intensified participation of the KBS in international military exercises. As for the agreements, the most important in the past two years are those with the United States of America, Turkey, Albania and Croatia, although the agreement on military cooperation with Albania and Croatia deserves special attention from the public, and those in the region, especially in Serbia. The signatories claim that it is not hostile, but Belgrade still interprets it as a threat, with the additional fact that the agreement with NATO members is signed by a non-member party. The year before last, news broke that the US Congress approved the delivery of 246 Javelin missiles, the value of which reaches 75 million dollars. The missiles are still not in Kosovo, although the Kosovo authorities regularly announce their arrival.

Kosovo government
approved the decision by which the procedure of expropriation of immovable property in Đakovica for the construction of an industrial zone for defense purposes, i.e. the construction of a factory, was completed
ammunition
in Kosovo. In question is the social immovable property of "KBI Erenik", which is being expropriated for the purposes of implementing the "Construction of Defense Industrial Zone" project. The request for the expropriation of this immovable property was submitted by the Kosovo Ministry of Defense on November 27 last year, symbolically on KBS Day and December's extraordinary general elections, and was approved today, on the eve of another extraordinary parliamentary election. The area in question is 130 hectares.
